Lions Club Extended Care (during remote learning)

Lions Club Extended Care

With remote learning in place to start the school year, this 5-day a week program is offered Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 5 pm  or 7:30 - 4:00 p.m. for Orange School District students in grades K – 5.

Whether you are assigned to attend school in the AM or PM cohort, school work will be a priority and students will have access to Google Classroom and any district-provided specialized instruction as needed throughout the day. When school is not in session, we’ll have all sorts of time to get creative, use your brain power, and have some active fun with your friends.  There are supplies that your child will need to bring for their individual use while at the program.

Lions Club will not be available when school is closed for holidays, teacher in-service days, weather, or Covid-19 related closures and due to Covid-19 regulations and guidelines, drop-in and flexible scheduling will not be available this school year.

While at Lions Club, students will remain physically distanced, and will have many opportunities for hand washing. Students must wear a mask or face covering unless participating in an activity such as running outside.

Students must arrive at Pepper Pike Learning Center at 7:30 am. Drop off throughout the morning will not be permitted due to strict building entrance requirements. Parents will remain in their car during drop off and our staff will greet you outside. Each student will have a temperature check before entering the building. Students will be assigned to small groups based on CDC guidelines and by grade level and will remain with their group throughout the day. Children should bring a water bottle, brown bag lunch and snacks daily. A supply list will be emailed with items to be kept at the program for your child's individual use.
