Portrait Painting- Tuesday Afternoons
Working in any medium, you will use a creative approach when looking and working from clothed models. Faculty will provide individual attention and critiques to help you refine your skills in portraiture. All skill levels are welcome. A supply list is provided at the time of registration. The model fee is included in the class fee.
John A Sargent III is a native Clevelander and professional artist since 1988 graduating with his MFA in painting from Ohio State in 1988. His work is represented locally in such collections as Progressive Insurance, The Cleveland Clinic, Calfee Halter & Griswold LLP, The Weatherhead School of Management, Parker Hannifin, Cleveland Ronald McDonald House. He is represented locally by the Bonfoey Gallery. He is also represented nationally and internationally in the Benetton Corporation, Pfizer Corporation and the US Supreme Court. He has taught locally at the Orange Art Center, Cleveland Institute of Art, and Tri C. He has had the privilege of teaching at The Albright Knox Museum in Buffalo. He is a board member of the Artist Archives of the Western Reserve and serves on the Gallery Committee at Valley Arts Center.
