If you want to boost your child's confidence heading back into school in the fall, look no further than Academic Adventures Camp. There is nothing standard about this camp (except for Learning Standards, that is)! Academic Adventures Camp will provide your entering K through 5th grader with two solid weeks of project-based FUN!

Whether you choose Pizza Parlor, Animal Discoveries or both, your child will be more than ready to go back to school with confidence! The camps offer smaller group sizes and highly-qualified teachers that are sure to give your child an extra edge! 

During Pizza Parlor week, your camper will start a fun, new endeavor as an “owner” of a pizza parlor. Each day, your child will develop teamwork and academic skills while starting a pizza business, including creating recipes, cooking, developing menus, marketing and so much more.

Entering First Grade

Learning Focus: Shapes, greater than/less than, emergent reading, letter sounds, opinion writing, report writing, sorting, goods/services, onset/rime

Entering Second Grade

Learning Focus: Fractions, 3D shapes, counting coins, addition/ subtraction, writing, sight words, sources of food, supply/demand, reading, gravity, living/nonliving

Entering Third Grade

Learning Focus: Even/odd, arrays, place value, measurement, fractions, bar graphs, time, counting coins, writing, reading, buying/selling, condensation/evaporation

Entering Fourth Grade

Learning Focus: Multiplication/division, fractions, time, word problems, volume, graphing, writing, research, solid/liquid/gas, energy, budgeting, consumerism

Entering Fifth Grade:

Learning Focus: Multiple step problems, supply and demand, cost, resources, decimals, interpreting charts/graphs, comparing fractions, reading informational text, matter, opinion writing, narrative writing, research
