Printmaking + Design

In this class, young artists will explore the techniques of monoprint and relief printmaking as well as alternative processes. Students will develop skills in layering, composition and design as they explore materials and techniques. Students will look at artworks by artists who use printmaking as a medium in their work and let themselves be inspired by what they see. Students will create a theme they can use throughout the course when creating images to print and will make a print journal containing all the prints and techniques they have discovered. All supplies are included. This class meets for 8 sessions.
