This program will give students an opportunity to be a part of a cabaret-style showcase in which they will perform show-stopping renditions of Broadway musical favorites. New members will receive a free “Junior Troupe” T-shirt to wear for their grand finale on the final day of class!
Graceyn is a Cleveland-based actor, choreographer, and dance instructor with deep ties to her Chicago roots. Before making Cleveland her home, she was actively involved in the Chicago theatre scene, training and performing with Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Lookingglass Theatre, and Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. Trained at the renowned Hubbard Street Dance in Chicago, she brings her passion for musical theatre, tap, ballroom, jazz, and Latin dance styles to her teaching. Currently, Graceyn is completing her degree in Theatre and Dance at Cleveland State University, where she has also performed in productions such as The Skin of Our Teeth and Richard III. Some of her favorite roles around NE Ohio include Sibella in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, Fantine in Les Misérables, and Lizzy Bennett in Pride and Prejudice. Katie Kitchen involves herself with a wide variety of music, from contemporary, jazz, and musical theater, to Handel, Bach or Mozart. A native of NW Ohio, she performed in regional theaters and was active as a vocalist, pianist, and percussionist.
Since living in Cleveland, Katie has been pursuing a Bachelor's in Voice Performance at Cleveland State University, singing professionally, attending young artist programs in New York, and is the recipient of the Shari Bierman Fellowship Scholarship with the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus for the past three years. She applies her performance experience and love of vocal science and pedagogy to her coaching, and aims to be a supportive and engaging teacher to all of her students.
