Babysitter's Training ClassThis class provides potential babysitters with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. It develops leadership skills, gives information on having a successful babysitting business, and trains them to keep themselves and other safe. Babysitters will learn to help children behave by learning about stages of child development and strategies to engage children. They will also learn about basic child care and first aid. Babysitters are also highly encouraged to take the Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid course, although it is not required. This course is also highly recommended for those who aspire to become a camp counselor or an Open Door PAL. To receive a certification, students must attend every class and complete all necessary course work.
