Be bold and get creative with this new class! In this 7 week course, students will learn the basics of relief printmaking with linocut (linoleum block carving) and explore a few of the many possibilities that can be achieved with this unique but accessible medium. Learn how to design your own handmade cards, patterns, and fine art! Linocut is a printmaking technique in which a design is cut or carved into the linoleum surface. Ink is then applied to the surface area that is left uncarved, creating a stamp that can be printed onto paper, fabric, and a variety of other materials. Adult evening courses are open to grades10-12. A supply list is provided at the time of registration.

This technique creates high-quality prints with simple materials. Learn the basics using stencils, stamping cutouts, and pastels. Looking to make a more textured print? Add flowers and found objects to your gelli! Beginners and experienced students will love the process of making gelli prints! A supply list is provided at the time of registration.
