    For over forty-five years, Stagecrafters has been building character on and off the stage in Northeast Ohio. YOU are the reason our curtain continues to rise! Whether in the spotlight, behind the scenes, or enjoying the show, we thank you for investing in our future. We are a self sustaining theatre program that relies on individual donations and our community sponsors to meet our operating expenses. We pride ourselves on helping people of all ages embrace the journey of self-discovery through innovative programming: a variety of classes, coachings, summer camps, adaptive programs, summer stock, teen programs, and professional full-scale productions. Your contribution finances professional teaching artists, operating expenses, backdrops, publicity, props, set design, and costume maintenance & storage. With your support, we will attain new highs in quality programming, so we can continue to encourage each student to reach for the stars.
  • Community Production: The Wizard Of Oz

    We're off to see the wizard! Join Dorothy, a spirited Kansas farm girl, as she’s swept away by a tornado and transported to the magical Land of Oz. On her quest to find the mysterious Wizard who can help her return home, Dorothy meets a lovable Scarecrow in search of a brain, a kind-hearted Tin Man longing for a heart, and a timid Lion who dreams of finding courage. Together, they journey down the Yellow Brick Road, facing challenges, making unforgettable friends, and learning that the power to go home—and to be brave, smart, and loving—was within them all along. Participation Eligibility Students must be enrolled in a Fall 2025 Stagecrafters’ class in order to be eligible to audition (private coaching is not considered a Stagecrafter’s class). Prospective cast members must be registered prior to auditioning and must attend auditions to be cast in the show. Once cast, each parent/guardian must submit an ad including a photo & message (to be included in the show playbill) and a brief biography (bio) for their child. Fees GRADES 2-7: The Registration Fee below includes the Participation Fee of $149 & Ad Fee of $75. An additional mandatory costume fee of $75 is required if cast. The Costume Fee is $75 and will be collected at the first rehearsal by Parent Production. Payment will be processed prior to the first rehearsal. MY FIRST PRODUCTION K-1: The Registration Fee below includes the Participation Fee of $99 & Costume Fee of $50. ALL PARTICIPANTS: Optional purchases of Yard Signs, Shirts & Photos will be available after the cast list has been given out. Auditions GRADES 2-7: Auditions will be held on Sunday, October 5. All students grades 2-7 must audition in order to be part of the casting process. MY FIRST PRODUCTION: No audition required, enrollment is on a first come first serve basis. Rehearsals Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Sundays from 5:30-8:30. Not every cast member will be called to every rehearsal. Once we cast the show, we will distribute rehearsal schedules that try to accommodate cast members' conflicts as best as possible. Older cast members will typically be called to more rehearsals than younger cast members. MY FIRST PRODUCTION: Rehearsals are scheduled for 11/16, 12/7, 12/14 from 1 -3 pm at OHS. Tech Week Tech week is the final and most intensive MANDATORY week of rehearsals for ALL CAST MEMBERS before a musical opens to an audience. It's when all the technical elements of the production—lighting, sound, costumes, set changes, props, microphones, special effects, and more—are integrated with the actors' performances. Tech week dates are Saturday January 10 - Thursday January 15. Show Dates/Tickets Performances are scheduled for January 16, 17 & 18, 2026. Tickets will go on sale approximately 2 weeks before the show. Cast members will receive a link to purchase tickets prior to access of the general public. Ticket prices range from $15-$20. About Laura : Laura Fisk is an enthusiastic and inspired voice teacher serving the greater Cleveland area. This Spring, Laura is completing her Master of Music degree in Voice Performance at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Her classically trained techniques are effective with singers of all levels and styles. Laura’s teaching style is rooted in healthy, sustainable vocal production… and of course, fun!

About Claudia As an artistic professional and recent college graduate, Claudia Cromly is always looking for the next opportunity to translate herself into her art in many types of mediums. Some of her experiences include Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street at CSU Department of Theatre and Dance as Mrs. Lovett, She Loves Me at CSU Department of Theatre and Dance as Amalia Balash, and Blithe Spirit at CSU Department of Theatre and Dance as Elvira. She was also the music director and assistant director for The Moors at CSU Department of Theatre and Dance.

About Ann Marie (Vocals and Piano): Ann Marie earned a B.M. from Northwestern U, an M.M. from The U of Arizona, took vocal pedagogy at Malone College, and completed an M.F.A. in Creative Writing in nonfiction with accents in fiction at Chatham U. Having taken and given numerous years of private voice, clarinet, and piano lessons, Ann Marie understands the beauty of the development of an artist's life. Students have been accepted to the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra, the Cleveland Youth Wind Symphonies, and the Contemporary Youth Orchestra. Voice students have participated at Heights Youth Theatre, Beachwood Theater, the Beck Center, Hathaway Brown's Summer Theatre Institute, and Stagecrafters, along with their school productions. They've also been selected for the Cleveland Orchestra Children's and Youth Choruses.

About Maria (Vocals and Piano): Maria DiDonato has her Masters in vocal performance and bachelors degree in music education with a minor in theatre. Maria is currently a Music Theory professor at Cuyahoga Community College at the Western Campus and is the music director for Cleveland State University. Maria not only enjoys teaching vocal techniques to all ages; she also enjoys performing. Maria is a gem to our team.

    Oh, the fun you’ll have! In this creative class, young Crafters will step into the colorful world of Dr. Seuss through hands-on activities, playful theatre games, and storytelling. Students will explore their imaginations while making whimsical crafts, building characters, and bringing Seuss’s stories to life. Who knows! Maybe you’ll even meet some kooky, Seuss-y characters along the way!
  • Bling 1 Bling 2, Jewelry for You

    Your friends will sparkle with delight after seeing your personal jewelry collection. Explore the whimsical world of wearable art as you design and create shimmering, kooky, Seuss-inspired pieces. Students will craft colorful and imaginative jewelry that’s perfect for showing off their personality or making a one-of-a-kind gift for someone special. A Supply Fee is included in the cost.
  • Advanced Acting: Horton Hears a Cue

    Take your acting skills to the next level! This advanced class is designed for students who are ready to dive deeper into character development, scene study, and stage presence. Inspired by Horton’s courage and determination, participants will practice listening and responding truthfully on stage, sharpening their timing, and exploring more complex performance techniques. It’s the perfect class for young actors who are serious about their craft and eager to grow as performers.
  • Feet on Beat! Dance Class

    Step to the rhythm and let your feet do the talking! In this upbeat dance class, students will explore fun choreography and beginner dance techniques. Dancers will build rhythm, coordination, and stage presence while discovering how movement and music come together to tell a story. With playful steps to the music of Seussical, it’s the perfect class for kids who love to move and groove!
  • One, Two, Tap Your Shoe! Tap Dance

    Make some noise with your feet! This energetic tap class introduces students to the fundamentals of tap dance while building rhythm, precision, and musicality. Inspired by the playful chaos of Thing 1 and Thing 2, dancers will explore fun combinations that challenge timing and coordination while keeping things lighthearted and creative. Perfect for students ready to sharpen their dance technique and bring a little extra flair to the stage.
  • Sew-la-Sollew Sewing Class

    Stitch your way into Seuss! In this hands-on sewing and design class, students will create kooky, colorful projects inspired by the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss. From silly shapes to playful patterns, each creation will bring imagination to life. Whether you are brand new to sewing or already love crafting, this class is the perfect way to build skills, explore creativity, and have sew much fun! A Supply Fee is included in the cost. NOTE: Participants are required to bring their own sewing machine.
  • Mayzie Labird's Make-up Workshop

    Get ready to brush, blend, and sparkle! In this colorful, hands-on class, students will explore the art of stage makeup with a whimsical Seuss twist. From feathered lashes inspired by Mayzie LaBird to bright, glittering character looks, kids will learn techniques to transform themselves and their friends into fantastical creations. It’s a chance to practice real stage makeup skills while letting imagination run wild. A Supply Fee and Seussical makeup kit is included in the cost.

    The Cabaret Troupe is a musical theater professional showcase for the most disciplined and talented teens in Cleveland. This elite ensemble is designed to teach and inspire students to further reach their potential and career goals while showcasing their talent in a musical theater revue. Auditions will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2026 and performances are scheduled for May 8 and 9. No class February 15.

    In this engaging and playful theatre class, students will explore the exciting world of drama through a wide variety of creative activities, games, and improvisation exercises. Designed to spark imagination, build confidence, and encourage self-expression in a supportive and fun environment. Students will learn how to use their voices and bodies to bring characters to life, practice speaking clearly and confidently, and develop their listening and collaboration skills. This class is perfect for both budding performers and those new to the stage, offering a joyful introduction to the fundamentals of acting and stage presence.

    Get crafty in Whoville! In this imaginative workshop, students will step into the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss and bring it to life by creating their own theatrical props. From Horton’s clover to the Cat’s striped hat, young designers will use art materials and creativity to build hands-on pieces inspired by Seussical the Musical. Along the way, they’ll explore how props help tell a story on stage while having fun crafting their very own Seuss-inspired creations to take home. A supply fee is included in the cost.

In this focused workshop, students will practice industry-standard audition techniques including preparing short cuts from songs and scenes, making strong acting choices, and presenting themselves with confidence. Participants will also work on vocal projection, clear diction, and physical presence to ensure they stand out in the audition room. With guidance and feedback from experienced instructors, students will leave with practical tools they can apply to future auditions, whether for Seussical or any production beyond.

This exciting theatre program gives students the opportunity to take center stage in a cabaret-style showcase, featuring high-energy, show-stopping performances of Broadway musical favorites. Through group numbers and featured solos, they'll build confidence, stage presence, and the ability to connect with an audience. Students will focus on technique, storytelling through song, and ensemble collaboration, all leading up to a dynamic final performance for family and friends. Whether you're a seasoned performer or new to the stage, this program is your chance to grow as an artist and have an unforgettable theatre experience.
  • 7th GRADE Community Production - Seussical the Musical - Audition Registration

    “Oh, the thinks you can think!” Join Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Mayzie LaBird, the Cat in the Hat, and a whole cast of beloved Dr. Seuss characters in this magical, musical adventure. From the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, young actors will journey through a fantastical world where friendship, courage, and imagination take center stage. With toe-tapping songs, whimsical characters, and larger-than-life storytelling, Seussical is a joyful reminder that “a person’s a person, no matter how small.” Participation Eligibility: Students must be enrolled in a Winter 2026 Stagecrafters class in order to be eligible to audition (private coaching is not considered a Stagecrafters class). Prospective cast members must be fully registered prior to auditioning and must attend auditions to be considered for casting in the show. Fees: The Registration Fee includes the Participation Fee & Ad Fee. An additional mandatory costume fee will also be due. The Costume Fee is $75 and will be collected at the first rehearsal by Parent Production. Optional purchases of Yard Signs, Shirts & Photos will be available after the cast list has been given out.
