  • Color Explorers Art Camp K-2

    Week 5 Mornings. Explore all the colors of the rainbow and more! During this Camp, campers will explore color theory through a variety of color-focused art projects! Celebrate your favorite colors, create new ones, and more! Color exercises include color mixing, color matching games, and colored-themed scavenger hunts! In addition, campers will learn about famous artworks with iconic color palettes. Art projects include mediums such as printmaking, painting, drawing, and more! Campers will have a week full of artmaking but will also partake in exciting activities such as gameplay, storytime, snacktime, outdoor exploration, and making new friends. New this year: half-day camps! Art Camps are offered in two sessions at 9:00 -11:30 am and afternoons 12:30 - 3:00 pm each week. Interested in a full-day? Sign up for both morning and afternoon sessions! Looking for more than half a day? Sign your camper up for coinciding sessions to receive a full day of art camp for more projects, games, and fun!     Did you know that there are over 10 million different colors in the world? Each one is different and unique in its way! Everybody interprets colors differently and the beautiful thing about art is not what is common but what is unique to the eye. Join us as we celebrate all sorts of colors with this brand-new program! Everybody should wear their favorite color to the event and be ready to participate in a variety of activities including tie dying, paint balloon community canvas art, flower arranging, and a ton of other unique and fun colorful activities. Just a fun way for everyone to celebrate how unique and beautiful of a world we live in!

    Let's head to the riverfront for one of the most acclaimed arts festivals in the country, featuring more than 240 artists, fabulous food, and entertainment. Then we’re off to the Columbus IKEA store, just outside of Columbus, where you can shop for household items, from kitchen gadgets to full kitchens, at amazing prices. Board deluxe motor coach in the Pepper Pike Learning Center parking lot by 9 am. Headed for college? This is a great place to pick up what you need for the dorm! The last day for registrations or for refunds is May 7!
  • Community Production: THE LITTLE MERMAID

    Auditions will be held on Sunday, February 4 at PPLC from 11-3 . Register here to reserve your audition spot. You will be placed on a waitlist and if you are cast in the show, we will proceed with your Participation & Costume fee at that time. Stagecrafters’ Spring Community Production will be THE LITTLE MERMAID! Enrollment is by audition only and students must be currently enrolled in a Stagecrafters’ class to be eligible for auditions. After auditioning, students will be assured a part in one of the two Community Productions. Please note that program ad and participation fees are required if cast. Auditions will be held on Sunday, February 4 and performances are scheduled for May 10-12, 2024. Please note our MANDATORY TECH WEEK begins DURING WINTER BREAK, Saturday, May 4, 2023. Information and details concerning auditions, rehearsals, and fees will be distributed in all eligible Stagecrafters classes. Please be familiar with mandatory fees prior to auditioning. All mandatory fees (Participation, Ad & Costume) are included in price below. MY FIRST PRODUCTION: Enrollment is by a first-come first-serve basis. No audition is necessary. Your student must be enrolled in a Stagecrafters class to participate. Information and details concerning rehearsals, and fees will be distributed in all eligible Stagecrafters classes.     We're glad to announce the return of cookouts with Trader Joe's! Starting several years ago with TJ's Chris Shaw, this collaboration returns to celebrate summer with delicious food and a fun evening. Wear your favorite tropical gear as a 'tip of the hat' to Chris. Must pre-register by July 12; enrollment is limited.
  • Creative Mindfulness Series: Envisioning Success

    In this one-time creative mindfulness workshop, we'll discuss students' visions for the future, goal-setting, motivation, and the positive effects of personal achievement. Each student will create a vision board to manifest their goals and help bring them to life. This workshop is offered for grades K-2 on Monday and grades 3 - 5 on Wednesday. All supplies are provided; an additional supplemental learning kit is available to purchase at registration checkout. Please see more details on the optional supplemental kits below: Envisioning Success Supplemental Learning Kit: Continue our mindfulness lesson at home! Select the " Supplemental Learning Kit" payment option when checking out to add a supplemental learning kit that expands our goal-setting and motivation lesson and allows students to practice at home. Our ‘Motivation Kit’ includes a simply-designed, blank weekly planner, laminated goal organizer, dry erase marker, learning kit instructions, and access to all digital resources associated with this workshop.

    Now that you have had a chance to enjoy some classes at the ART Bar (or even if you just need some creative space) you can now "rent" time to use the facility space and supplies to continue creating your own projects. Simply call the Orange Senior Center and book a 2-hour window for just $12.00 for members and $15.00 for nonmembers. Once you book your time, come in and enjoy the use of all the supplies available, courtesy of a grant from Orange Lions Foundation.

    Cub’s Adventure is a week full of laughter, friends, and fun! Counselors will design hands-on activities aimed towards making new friendships and memories!   • Date Night, Parents Night Out

    Welcome to our "Parents' Night Out" event! As parents, we understand that everyone deserves a break now and then. That's why we've organized an evening where you can unwind, connect with other adults, and leave your kids in our Lions Club staff’s hands. Our expert team of counselors will ensure your children have a blast while you enjoy a night out at whirleyball. The night will include two games of laser tag, one hour of whirleyball, pizza, and wings. Cash bar is also available. Parents must arrive at whirleyball by 6:15pm. Childcare is only available for kids in grades K-5, and parents must return to pick up by 9pm.

    Discover Sign Language will teach you how to sign basic phrases and complete sentences and how to put it all together, allowing you to introduce yourself and start a conversation. Along the way, you will learn signs for colors, numbers, locations, family, and the activities you like to do. Throughout the course, you will learn by watching videos that demonstrate how to make the signs and how to incorporate facial expressions to communicate in this beautiful language. This course is taught using the best practices of the industry with a minimum of audio support. Throughout it, you will be immersed in silence, which will help you gain an understanding of the perspective of Deaf people and sign language.   • Drawing 101 - Tuesday Mornings

    Anyone can draw, really! Beginners and students who need a refresher course will start with drawing basics from which you will gain skills and confidence. Learn about various drawing tools and techniques such as contour drawing, shading, perspective, and portraiture. Each class will feature a brief lesson about an artist to expand your knowledge of art history. This foundation course is applicable and carries over into other mediums as your artist journey progresses. A supply list is provided at the time of registration. Prerequisite to Drawing 102.

  • Drivers Education

    We have partnered with Overbeke School of Driving to offer Drivers Education Courses. Our teen driver's education classes prepare students to pass state licensing requirements by providing them with the knowledge and skills to become safe drivers. Overbeke School of Driving serves beginning drivers throughout the East Side suburbs. Our highly-qualified instructors nurture new drivers as they progress from the classroom to the open road. Consequently, our students boast one of the highest first-time pass rates in the state of Ohio. While preparing to become a licensed driver, your teenager will experience 24 hours of in-classroom drivers education classes paired with 8 hours of behind the wheel driving. These lessons satisfy the State of Ohio's requirements for driver's education for drivers under age 18. Per state law, teens can begin in-class lessons when they are 15.5 years old. Participants will also need to pay a one time gas charge to their instructor for their behind the wheel driving portion of the program.

We will make informal teams every week for some friendly competition. There will be no refs. There will be a minimum of 6 needed to play. If we do not have enough spots reserved by 1pm the day of we will cancel the session and refund everyone. You will be notified of this by 1:30pm. Gym times and locations are subject to change.

    Life is full of rhythm and we as human beings have the opportunity to create and enjoy life's beat every day. Drums and rhythm are used all around the world to spread joy and the power of music to many. Join us as we take a deep dive into the power of rhythm and music in the form of a drum circle. We will enjoy a beautiful night and create music together using percussion-based instruments including bongos, congas, shakers, rhythm sticks, and more. Each participant will get the chance to try a variety of fun and impactful musical instruments. Don’t miss out on this night of percussion, relaxation, and musical creation.

    Join us to learn the fun process of creating “sun prints” on fabric or paper! There are no rules for this technique so we will be experimenting with our designs and the sun. No experience necessary. Since the drying process tends to take a while, we will head over to a local Mexican restaurant for lunch. Lunch and transportation are not included. Must pre-register
