  • Busy Bees Camp

    Did you know as a little bee buzzes, the force of the vibration expels the pollen from the anther? 20,000 plant species are pollinated this way, including blueberries, cranberries, tomatoes and potatoes! This week, our busy bees will be visiting Cleveland Botanical Garden. Campers will explore nature and learn about beekeeping from our OCE&R Director, Jill Korsok!   • Cape Cod & Martha’s Vineyard

    Delight in New England’s coastal region on the 7-day, 6-night tour. Your adventure begins with a guided tour of Hyannis and Sandwich, where you will visit the JFK Museum and the JFK Memorial, and ending the day in the historic and quaint village of Sandwich. The next day you will embark on a ferry ride to Martha’s Vineyard, where you will have some free time to explore and shop. Next, enjoy a guided tour of the Outer Cape, See the Eastham Windmill, the Cape Cod National Seashore, Race Point Visitor Center, and the Marconi Station area with its spectacular "ocean to bay" view across the entire cape. Then, you'll make a stop in colorful Provincetown - home to artists, great galleries, stores and boutiques. Next, you'll breathe in the sea air in Chatham with its panoramic views of the Atlantic and rustic barrier beaches. As you head back to Pepper Pike you will visit the Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York. The trip includes transportation, lodging, six breakfasts and four dinners. A $75 deposit will reserve your spot, with final payment due on July 28. Trip insurance is available.
  • Captivating Kingdoms Art Camp Grades 3-5

    Week 2 Mornings. Knights, princesses, and dragons, oh my! During this camp, campers will learn to create their very own magical kingdoms inspired by famous fairytales and hero stories. Each day includes playful artmaking and storytelling to elevate imagination and promote artistic skill-building! Projects will utilize painting, drawing, and assemblage through art projects, including medieval monster making, fantasy-inspired wearables, paintings, drawings, and more! No art camp on Wednesday, June 19. Campers will have a week full of artmaking but will also partake in exciting activities such as gameplay, storytime, snacktime, outdoor exploration, and making new friends. New this year: half-day camps! Art Camps are offered in two sessions at 9:00 -11:30 am and afternoons 12:30 - 3:00 pm each week. Interested in a full-day? Sign up for both morning and afternoon sessions! Looking for more than half a day? Sign your camper up for coinciding sessions to receive a full day of art camp for more projects, games, and fun!   • Card Connection-the Big Reveal

    Begin a new card making project each month when you purchase a kit that includes a new “recipe” for a card layout. Using the “recipe” and all the ingredients included you can create four cards with the same layout yet different colors and designs. Pick up your kits the last week of each month and work on it at home or at the Orange ART bar. Must pre-register.
  • Cardio Core & Balance

    A new twist to Cardio & Core, this intermediate to advanced level class is for those who are looking for a more intense workout. This class is done in circuit training style, rotating cardio conditioning and strength training for a maximum workout. Both standing and floor exercises are included in this class. Equipment is provided and you can bring your own weights for even more of a workout. There are no prerequisites for this class, however please note this class requires you to be able to get down to the floor and back to standing, with assistance if needed.

    The Orange Senior Center is the district's focal point for programs and services specific to individuals age 55 and over. The program provides opportunities for enrichment, education, socialization and companionship in a welcoming atmosphere.

    Ceramics Open Studio Fridays is now available for currently enrolled students. Join us for an open studio and get independent time to work on projects, experiment with glaze combinations, and decorate! No outside glazes or clay permitted; please use this time to continue working on your current OAC class projects. Clay disbursements are not provided at this time. A Studio Tech will be present if you have questions! The Open Studio is designed as a pay-as-you-go or purchase multiple sessions ahead in increments of $25.

This class is designed to explore your creativity through various ceramic techniques, funky surface design, and glaze combinations.     Games are increasingly recognized as a tool that can serve many business purposes beyond entertainment. This certificate provides you with a general introduction to what goes into the design and development of both video and analog games, with a particular focus on the use of games outside of consumer entertainment.     Who is ready to see something incredible? Like seeing the skeleton of a Dinosaur or seeing fossils of past creatures that were before our time. If this sounds interesting to you, then you are certainly in luck! We are going to be taking our very first trip to the Cleveland Natural History Museum to experience the incredible phenomenon of history that has formed the world we live in today. Offering a variety of engaging exhibits, the Cleveland Natural History Museum offers its museumgoers an experience like no other. The opportunity to see our world from a completely new perspective and the opportunity to learn about a wide range of cool information. So, don’t miss this opportunity to see history in a whole new way! Transportation to and from Pepper Pike Learning Center will be provided. Please meet in the parking lot of the Pepper Pike Learning Center at 10 am. Bring a brown bag lunch.
