Week 1 Afternoons. Let the music move you and your paintbrush, too! Paint the sound of music like artist Wassily Kandinsky and make masterful artworks using musical instruments and sound! Campers will create expressive artworks in sculpture, painting, drawing, and collage with the muse of music. Campers will have a week full of artmaking but will also partake in exciting activities such as gameplay, storytime, snacktime, outdoor exploration, and making new friends. Week 5 Mornings. Let your imagination guide you! During this art camp, camps will take on the role of an artist as they explore the possibilities of an open studio! Each day, students will learn basic elements of art and design, and then use those elements to apply to self-guided projects inspired by their interests. The possibilities are endless when you are the maker! Fundamentals covered in this camp include line, creating forms, color theory, perception, and more! Campers will have a week full of artmaking but will also partake in exciting activities such as gameplay, storytime, snacktime, outdoor exploration, and making new friends. Week 4 Afternoons. Enjoy the outdoors and the beauty that comes with it! In this camp, campers will explore the possibilities of creating art with nature. Using inspiration from famous environmental artists such as Andy Goldsworthy, campers will discover the magical world of nature through various projects, including mediums of sculpture, collage, printmaking, and painting. Campers will have a week full of artmaking but will also partake in exciting activities such as gameplay, storytime, snacktime, outdoor exploration, and making new friends. This is PRE-REGISTRATION ONLY for Unlimited Adventures Summer Camp. We believe that EVERY child deserves to have the summer of a lifetime! Orange Community Education & Recreation is pleased to offer a variety of one-week enrichment camps for Pre-K through Second Grade children with special needs, combined with typical peers from Orange Early Childhood or Lions Camp throughout the day. The camp day will include daily opportunities for socialization through art, physical activities, group games, special visitors, skill-building experiences, swimming and much, much more. The camps feature licensed, highly-qualified specialists and small group sizes. After completing this Pre-Registration, please complete the following steps: Submit a copy of your child’s IEP/504 Plan and a Summer Camp Child Transition Form (to be completed by your child’s current teacher) to Kelly Borders at kborders@orangecsd.org. No registrations or forms will be accepted sooner than 10 days prior to the start of any camp week. Once the steps described above are completed, we will contact you to register your child for each of your requested weeks. At that time, we will ask for your camp payment. You will have an option to pay in full or utilize our payment plan (for more information, see below).

Safety Town is a nationally recognized safety awareness and education program offered by the Orange Early Childhood Center for children entering kindergarten in the fall. Children will learn important safety basics including: fire safety, bus safety, water safety, pedestrian safety, poison safety, playground safety, bike safety, and gun safety. Children will visit the following community places to learn more about each topic: Pepper Pike Fire & Police Stations, and the Orange High School outdoor pool. Children will also practice riding the bus and driving cars in our mini Safety Town. Space is limited, register early. All children will receive a Safety Town t-shirt to be worn daily. More information will be emailed to you prior to the start of the program. Early Bird discount does not apply to Safety Town.

Week 4 Mornings. Science is terrific; art is too! Explore the creative possibilities of science as a tool to make fantastic ( and colorful) works of art. Campers will use experiments using static electricity, magnets, fizzy baking soda reactions, and more, resulting in fun, engaging art explorations. In addition, campers will learn about artists who were inspired by science, outer space, and the weather when creating projects in mediums such as sculpture, painting, and collage. Campers will have a week full of artmaking but will also partake in exciting activities such as gameplay, storytime, snacktime, outdoor exploration, and making new friends. Using painting, drawing, and assemblage mediums, campers will explore all there is to storytelling through art projects inspired by their favorite children’s books. In addition, campers will become their storytellers by creating book illustrations, handmade puppets, and more! No art camp on Wednesday, June 19. Campers will have a week full of artmaking but will also partake in exciting activities such as gameplay, storytime, snacktime, outdoor exploration, and making new friends. Orange Sports Skills Camps Orange Youth Sports is committed to the skill development of all athletes in the community that strive to be the best they can be. Youth Sports Skills camps will return this summer to provide additional skill opportunity for youth athletes guided by professional coaches. While all camps are expected to be fun and engaging, expect your athlete to emerge as a better player and teammate from these camps. Camps will be run by professional coaches who often have ties to our Orange Athletics department or have experience coaching youth players in a developmental setting. Camps are listed in order of start date. **Skills camps are not eligible for the early bird discount this summer** Weyn Pee Wee Soccer Camp Ages 3, 4, & 5 In this week-long camp, your future soccer player will learn the fundamentals of soccer in a fun atmosphere. Dribbling, passing, shooting and a variety of other foot skills will be emphasized by this professional soccer coach. Participants must bring a water bottle, soccer ball and shin guards. For campers currently in grades K-5 (school year ending June 2024). This camp for boys and girls provides a challenging, competitive and fun environment to learn the game of soccer. On the first day of camp, players will be divided into groups: recreational skill building for younger, beginner players and a more competitive side for those who have experience playing in travel and club soccer leagues. All campers will work on foot skills, passing and game play with small teams to encourage multiple touches to the ball. All campers will receive a t-shirt. During this travel-themed art camp, campers will be introduced to important cultural artworks and significant architectural structures around the world. Each day, students will “ visit” a different country and learn all there is to know about the famous art one can find there such as classical Italian Renaissance paintings, or even the Eiffel Tower! Art projects include mediums such as handmade sculpture, painting, drawing, and more! Campers will have a week full of artmaking but will also partake in exciting activities such as gameplay, storytime, snacktime, outdoor exploration, and making new friends.
