NEW! Blooming Paper Flowers in a Hand-Built Clay Pot Workshop

In this one-of-a-kind collaborative workshop, guided by two expert instructors, you’ll create two hand-built clay pots using one of three templates, learning essential pottery techniques like scoring, slipping, and slab construction. After adding your personal touch with decorative glazing, your pots will be fired and ready for day two, where you'll craft stunning, lifelike paper flowers that never wilt. You'll explore color combinations, textures, and sealing techniques to design a breathtaking arrangement that perfectly complements your handmade pottery. Whether you're a seasoned artist or a beginner, this unique, hands-on experience blends ceramics and paper artistry into a beautiful, everlasting creation you'll be proud to display! All materials are provided.

Instructors

Ami Kamerer

OAC Instructor

Ami Kamerer graduated from Cleveland State, with a degree in Art Education, and a concentration in Ceramics.She has taught K-12 public education for the last 10 years. She has taken continuing education/masters classes in drawing, painting, and ceramics.In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors with her dog Lucy, and going on hikes. She loves creating art in many different mediums, and spending time with family.


Reham Mogawer

OAC Instructor

Reham Mogawer is a Contemporary Paper Artist and Product Designer. Her affection to the ancient Quilling Art has driven her path of blending her immense Design experience with such a beautiful Art medium. The Chaos Theory has been her guide for finding grace within disorder. Exploring with paper beyond its possibilities and challenging the material, fusing the fine line between Art, Handcrafting and Design.

She is the founder of Order out of Chaos Studio LLC, based in Ohio and An Artist Instructor with Studio Institute. Ten years ago, she started her journey of making art from strips of paper, falling in love with how those strips are flexible, creating patterns and shadows and above all they are versatile. Reham graduated from the German University in Cairo, with a bachelor degree in Applied Art and Sciences, Product Design Major. She was blessed to have had the chance to see, live and explore many parts of the world, which definitely enriched her perception of cultures, nature and lots of inspirations. Her aim is to spread paper Art and make it as accessible as paint. She believes it is the art of senses and as a medium, it has limitless opportunities.
