Orange Community Education & Recreation’s Orange Early Childhood Preschool is a public preschool licensed by the Ohio Department of Education and holds a current accreditation through NAEYC - The National Association for the Education of Young Children.
Our Early Childhood program includes a variety of educational, developmentally appropriate activities designed for young children.
The Orange Art Center (OAC) is a division of Orange Community Education & Recreation. OAC is located on the Orange Schools campus and has a 40-year history of offering fine art classes to adults and K-12 young artists.
Lions Club Extended Care is a before and after school and camp activity-based program for students in grades K-5, focusing on social and recreational activities designed to provide children with a choice of developmentally appropriate activities.
The Orange Senior Center is the district's focal point for programs and services specific to individuals age 55 and over. The program provides opportunities for enrichment, education, socialization and companionship in a welcoming atmosphere.

The Orange Early Childhood Camp offers a fun and creative learning environment for children ages 2-5 who have not entered Kindergarten.

Experience the thrill of painting with versatile acrylics. This class is perfect for all skill levels, covering essential techniques, materials, color mixing, and composition. Instructor Marlene brings you a gentle,focused instruction teaching style with hands-on demonstrations, visual examples, and individualized guidance to enhance your skills. Whether you're new to painting or want to deepen your practice, this course offers something for everyone. Already taken this class? Enroll in additional sessions to further develop your skills. A supply list will be emailed at the time of registration. Approximate supply cost, depending on materials already owned: $70. No class January 19 and February 16.
Marlene was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in New Jersey. For the last few decades she has called the ‘north coast’ her home. She lives in Beachwood, Ohio with her husband, James Newman. Marlene retired from a 30 year health care career in 2012 and completed a BFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Akron’s Myers School of Art in 2016.
