NEW! Medium Explorations: Texture and Surface

Fine Art / Orange Art Center / Painting -
Winter 2026

All skill levels welcome! This hands-on workshop invites you to work with materials like glass bead gel, crackle medium, gloss gel, and heavy modeling paste to explore how texture, depth, and surface qualities can shift your painting process. Through guided experimentation and open-ended play, you’ll discover how each medium behaves, how to combine them effectively, and how they can add new visual and tactile dimensions to your work. Whether you’re building a textured base or adding final details, this session encourages creative risk-taking and material discovery. Approximate supply cost, depending on materials already owned: $125.
