Orange Community Education & Recreation’s Orange Early Childhood Preschool is a public preschool licensed by the Ohio Department of Education and holds a current accreditation through NAEYC - The National Association for the Education of Young Children.

The Orange Art Center (OAC) is a division of Orange Community Education & Recreation. OAC is located on the Orange Schools campus and has a 40-year history of offering fine art classes to adults and K-12 young artists.
Lions Club Extended Care is a before and after school and camp activity-based program for students in grades K-5, focusing on social and recreational activities designed to provide children with a choice of developmentally appropriate activities.
The Orange Senior Center is the district's focal point for programs and services specific to individuals age 55 and over. The program provides opportunities for enrichment, education, socialization and companionship in a welcoming atmosphere.

All skill levels welcome! This hands-on workshop invites you to work with materials like glass bead gel, crackle medium, gloss gel, and heavy modeling paste to explore how texture, depth, and surface qualities can shift your painting process. Through guided experimentation and open-ended play, you’ll discover how each medium behaves, how to combine them effectively, and how they can add new visual and tactile dimensions to your work. Whether you’re building a textured base or adding final details, this session encourages creative risk-taking and material discovery. Lauren Sylvia is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist from Wooster, Ohio, who has found a home in Cleveland Heights over the past years. Lauren's work is rooted in the human experience, drawing inspiration from nature, healing, and her own evolving sense of identity. Working across drawing, painting, textiles, and ceramics, she creates intimate pieces that explore memory, connection, and emotional honesty.
Lauren teaches artists of all levels, guiding them to reconnect with their creativity through a nontraditional and intuitive approach. She encourages a childlike sense of freedom, play, and experimentation, helping students let go of perfectionism and embrace a process that is expressive, liberating, and deeply personal.
