“Oh, the thinks you can think!” Join Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Mayzie LaBird, the Cat in the Hat, and a whole cast of beloved Dr. Seuss characters in this magical, musical adventure. From the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, young actors will journey through a fantastical world where friendship, courage, and imagination take center stage. With toe-tapping songs, whimsical characters, and larger-than-life storytelling, Seussical is a joyful reminder that “a person’s a person, no matter how small.” 

Participation Eligibility: Students must be enrolled in a Winter 2026 Stagecrafters class in order to be eligible to audition (private coaching is not considered a Stagecrafters class). Prospective cast members must be fully registered prior to auditioning and must attend auditions to be considered for casting in the show.  

Fees: The Registration Fee includes the Participation Fee & Ad Fee. An additional mandatory costume fee will also be due. The Costume Fee is $75 and will be collected at the first rehearsal by Parent Production. Optional purchases of Yard Signs, Shirts & Photos will be available after the cast list has been given out. 

Auditions: Auditions will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026. All students grades 2-7 must audition in order to be part of the casting process. Callbacks for 7th graders and select 6th graders will tentatively be held on February 9-11. 

Reheasals: Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays from 5:30-8:30 pm and Sundays from 12:30-3:30 pm, starting with an all-cast read through on March 3. Not every cast member will be called to every rehearsal. Once we cast the show, we will distribute rehearsal schedules that try to accommodate cast members' conflicts as best as possible. Older cast members will typically be called to more rehearsals than younger cast members. 

Tech Week: Tech Week is the final and most intensive mandatory week of rehearsals before a musical opens to an audience. It's when all the technical elements of the production—lighting, sound, costumes, set changes, props, microphones, special effects, and more—are integrated with the actors' performances. There will be no conflicts accepted during this time. Cast members will be expected to stay through the entirety of the rehearsal. Tech week begins Saturday May 9, 2026. Please check your schedule before auditioning. 

Performances/Tickets: Show Performances are scheduled for May 15, 16, and 17, 2026. Tickets will go on sale approximately 2 weeks before the show. Cast members will receive a link to purchase tickets prior to access of the general public. Ticket prices range from $15-$20 per ticket.
