  • Orange Lions Travel Softball - 12u Team Skills Sessions

    Orange Youth Competitive & Travel Sports Teams OCER is committed to providing youth athletes in the community with competitive and developmental sports experiences. Competing as a community, against other youth sports programs across Northeast Ohio. We aim to connect youth teams’ and emerging athletes with Orange High School Athletics through camps, clinics, and special events with Varsity coaches. Aiming to establish vertical integration of programs from varsity to youth athletics. Travel sports often do not require extensive travel, but may include extended weekend participation. When participating in these programs, participants should expect an outcome of; competitive team play, and organized instruction from volunteer coaches and professional coaches. Register your softball player to the 'waitlist' of the program. Complete the registration steps. Make sure you have an updated payment method on file. Once are you on the waitlist, the staff will remove you from the waitlist, and register your player for the progrma using the payment method you have saved on file. You can of course always stop in, or call the OCER front desk at 216-831-8601, Monday - Friday between the hours of 8 am-6 pm.

  • Little Lions Parent / Child Basketball

    This will be a parent-child class, where both the child and parent can learn some different basketball skills and hopefully take some of the skills/drills home to continue developing a love for the game. Parents will be asked to jump in and participate in drills at times during this class to help make sure the little basketball players feel comfortable.
  • Lions Winter Indoor Soccer Skills Clinic - Boys

    Refresh your skills during the wintertime and get prepared for your upcoming soccer season with this 6-week foot skills program. We are thrilled to have our Orange Varsity soccer coaches join and to help develop our youth soccer program, it’s a great time to get connected with your future coaches. The program is indoors, so please wear indoor soccer or tennis shoes. Shin guards are optional.

    OCER Recreation Sports Leagues and Teams OCER provides elementary-aged and early middle school students with opportunities to participate in a variety of recreation-level sports. These leagues and teams are generally coached by parent volunteers with a focus on fair and equitable team participation. Athletes and parents can expect an atmosphere where everyone learns and everyone plays with moderate levels of competition Lions Winter Youth Cheer Team Following our successful Fall Cheer club, we are excited to once again offer this opportunity to our aspiring cheerleaders this winter as well. Participants will learn the basic skills and techniques for what it takes to be an Orange Lions cheerleader. During this cheer club participants will get the opportunity to cheer at our very popular Youth Night, at an Orange High School basketball game, which will take place January 20th as well as at an OHS girls basketball game which will take place TBD.   • Girls Youth Basketball Night at Ursuline College

    Join us as we cheer loud and proud for the Ursuline Arrows women's basketball team! After the game, participants will score big with locker room access, player meet-and-greets, and autographs. The only rule of the game? Bring your loudest cheer voice and help us ‘assist’ the team to victory! Reserve your spot and be part of the winning team spirit!
  • Little Racquets Preschool Tennis Lessons

    This program is your first step to learning all about tennis, how to hold your racquet, how to swing, and when to swing. All in a fun class designed for preschool-aged children. You may bring a racquet but an extra may be provided. Participants attending Orange Inclusive Preschool during program hours may not attend. No class on February 16 or March 23.

Participants can expect meaningful progress and enhanced abilities in a supportive, skill-focused environment designed to prepare them for future sports success. After-School Skills Classes Boys Lacrosse Skills - Boys Grades 2 - 5 Keep your skills sharp this winter with our new after-school boys lacrosse skills class. This is a great way to prepare for the upcoming lacrosse season. No class on February 16. Location: Moreland Elementary School Gym ** Please be sure to mark your program in the school's Dismissal Manager on the day of the after school class your child is attending. Just simply put in the PM notes the sport your child is attending. This helps at dismissal time to ensure that everyone gets to where they need to be and we aren't holding up the buses. If your child will not be attending class that day please send an email to jmucci@orangecsd.org to let him know. Pick-Up will be at the Moreland Elementary Cafe 2 entrance by the playground at 4:30 pm. We will walk the kids out to the sidewalk and you can just pull up and pick up your child. Coach Amanda from Rookie Sports will get participants to enhance their game before the volleyball season begins. Students will work on improving basketball skills including ball handling, footwork, shooting, passing, finishing and learning basketball concepts. Competitions and games will be included as the program progresses. The focus of this program is to provide a convenient after-school opportunity for players interested in getting better at basketball and having fun. No class March 25.   • National Girls and Women in Sports Day

    It’s back! Join us once again in celebration of our girl youth athletes here in the community, on National Girls & Women in Sports Day. We are welcoming all our girl athletes to come join us, as we partner with Ursuline College to put on a very special event. Participants from Orange and surrounding schools will be invited out to Ursuline College Gymnasium where coaches, & student-athletes from Ursuline College will be running a “field day” with all sorts of different sports events taking place that participants are encouraged to try. Participants will get a National Girls in Sports Day t-shirt, that they can proudly wear to school. Don’t miss out on this very special opportunity for our female athletes to be recognized!

    Take the field with pride! Our youth lacrosse team will represent Orange in the Ohio North Coast Youth Lacrosse Association, facing neighboring communities in a fun and competitive enviornment. Players must provide or rent their own equipment (helmet, stick & pads). Jerseys and league fees are included, so get ready to scoop, pass, and score your way into an amazing season.
