We aim to connect youth teams’ and emerging athletes with Orange High School Athletics through camps, clinics, and special events with Varsity coaches. Aiming to establish vertical integration of programs from varsity to youth athletics. Travel sports often do not require extensive travel, but may include extended weekend participation. When participating in these programs, participants should expect an outcome of; competitive team play, and organized instruction from volunteer coaches and professional coaches. Orange Basketball - Grades 3 - 6 We’re kicking off basketball season with a fresh approach to team building—and you’re invited! This year, all players, regardless of experience or skill level, are encouraged to attend our new one-day basketball evaluations. Led by professional coaches, these evaluations will focus on overall skill, effort, and gameplay. Based on the results, players will be recommended for either our competitive Travel Basketball Teams or our fun and fast-paced Recreation League, helping us create well-matched teams for every level. Travel basketball candidates must attend this evaluation to be considered, and recreation players are highly encouraged to join us to help shape our teams. Can’t make it? No worries—a makeup evaluation will be held on September 24. This will take the place of our traditional tryouts. The travel basketball program is for boys & girls who are at an advanced skills stage of basketball. Players are required to try out and to be selected for the team. Upon making the team, teams will practice a minimum of twice per week, including weekend games and tournaments. Teams play in the Midwest Travel Basketball League located in Kenston and play against other top teams in our area in a 10-game season. The registration fee covers new custom uniforms, post-season, tournaments, league registration and additional coaching support. Practices begin the first full week of October and the season is expected to last through February. There will be moderate competitive expectations. Eastside Girls Basketball League Grades 3 - 6 Girls Basketball is back and ready to join the Eastside Girls Basketball League once again this year. We are excited to compete in games against our neighboring communities and their girl's basketball programs. Teams will play an 8-game schedule, concluding with a 1 game end-of-season playoff. We will make every effort to schedule games against similar grade parings and skill levels to make the games fun and competitive.

Mayfield Boys Basketball League Grades 3 - 6 OCER Recreation Basketball teams will participate in the Mayfield Basketball Association league as we have for many years. Teams will be made of basketball players from Orange and will play games against teams from Mayfield, and West Geagua. Games are played here in Orange and in Mayfield. Practice times remain TBD, but will be established before the season, please remain flexible.
