We are a self sustaining theatre program that relies on individual donations and our community sponsors to meet our operating expenses. We pride ourselves on helping people of all ages embrace the journey of self-discovery through innovative programming: a variety of classes, coachings, summer camps, adaptive programs, summer stock, teen programs, and professional full-scale productions. Your contribution finances professional teaching artists, operating expenses, backdrops, publicity, props, set design, and costume maintenance & storage.     In this engaging and playful theatre class, students will explore the exciting world of drama through a wide variety of creative activities, games, and improvisation exercises. Designed to spark imagination, build confidence, and encourage self-expression in a supportive and fun environment. Students will learn how to use their voices and bodies to bring characters to life, practice speaking clearly and confidently, and develop their listening and collaboration skills. This class is perfect for both budding performers and those new to the stage, offering a joyful introduction to the fundamentals of acting and stage presence.
  • ShowBiz Kidz Showcase

    This workshop is a scaled-down musical that will be performed during the last day of class. Students will become familiar with stage directions, working as an ensemble, memorization, choreography, costuming and set design, while developing audition techniques. This class is a great preparation for future main stage productions, as well as other theatrical opportunities. The Performance will be on 9/30 @ 7:30pm

    Follow the yellow brick road to a world of imagination! In this whimsical theatre class, young performers will join Dorothy and her friends on a creative journey through the Land of Oz.     Your friends will be green with envy after seeing your personal jewelry collection. Explore the fabulous fashions of jewelry with wearable art. Students will create whimsical and shimmering individual pieces of handmade jewelry. This class is a perfect way to express your personalized craft, or make a home-made gift for others.     You don’t need a brain to sew your heart out, all you need is a little courage to stitch up something spectacular! In this hands-on sewing and design class, students will explore their creativity by designing, cutting, and sewing their own wearable project. Along the way, students will build real-world skills in sewing, pattern-making, and creative problem-solving, all in a fun, supportive environment. If you can dream it, you can sew it!   • Community Production: The Wizard Of Oz

    We're off to see the wizard! Join Dorothy, a spirited Kansas farm girl, as she’s swept away by a tornado and transported to the magical Land of Oz. On her quest to find the mysterious Wizard who can help her return home, Dorothy meets a lovable Scarecrow in search of a brain, a kind-hearted Tin Man longing for a heart, and a timid Lion who dreams of finding courage. Together, they journey down the Yellow Brick Road, facing challenges, making unforgettable friends, and learning that the power to go home—and to be brave, smart, and loving—was within them all along. Participation Eligibility Students must be enrolled in a Fall 2025 Stagecrafters’ class in order to be eligible to audition (private coaching is not considered a Stagecrafter’s class). Prospective cast members must be registered prior to auditioning and must attend auditions to be cast in the show. Once cast, each parent/guardian must submit an ad including a photo & message (to be included in the show playbill) and a brief biography (bio) for their child. Fees GRADES 2-7: The Registration Fee below includes the Participation Fee of $149 & Ad Fee of $75. An additional mandatory costume fee of $75 is required if cast. The Costume Fee is $75 and will be collected at the first rehearsal by Parent Production. Payment will be processed prior to the first rehearsal. MY FIRST PRODUCTION K-1: The Registration Fee below includes the Participation Fee of $99 & Costume Fee of $50. ALL PARTICIPANTS: Optional purchases of Yard Signs, Shirts & Photos will be available after the cast list has been given out. Auditions GRADES 2-7: Auditions will be held on Sunday, October 5. All students grades 2-7 must audition in order to be part of the casting process. MY FIRST PRODUCTION: No audition required, enrollment is on a first come first serve basis. Rehearsals Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Sundays from 5:30-8:30. Not every cast member will be called to every rehearsal. Once we cast the show, we will distribute rehearsal schedules that try to accommodate cast members' conflicts as best as possible. Older cast members will typically be called to more rehearsals than younger cast members. MY FIRST PRODUCTION: Rehearsals are scheduled for 11/30, 12/7, 12/14 from 1 -3 pm at OHS. Tech Week Tech week is the final and most intensive MANDATORY week of rehearsals for ALL CAST MEMBERS before a musical opens to an audience. It's when all the technical elements of the production—lighting, sound, costumes, set changes, props, microphones, special effects, and more—are integrated with the actors' performances. Tech week dates are Saturday January 10 - Thursday January 15. Show Dates/Tickets Performances are scheduled for January 16, 17 & 18, 2026. Tickets will go on sale approximately 2 weeks before the show. Cast members will receive a link to purchase tickets prior to access of the general public. Ticket prices range from $15-$20.
